  • Our substitute teachers are a crucial part of our team! As an On-Site Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for facilitating the continuity of learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Your primary duty will be to manage the classroom environment effectively and deliver pre-prepared lesson plans or assignments provided by the absent teacher. Additionally, you will ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for students, manage classroom behavior, and address any questions or concerns from students to the best of your ability. When not serving as a substitute teacher, you will also have the opportunity to provide additional support in various classrooms as needed.   • Instructional Aides at Aspen Public Schools provide support to teachers and students in a rigorous educational setting. They assist with a variety of functions, including implementing instructional programs, tutoring students in groups, and other tasks as needed by the classroom teacher. This is a 29-hour-per-week, part-time position. Instructional aides perform recess and lunch duty supervision for students. A positive, restorative, and growth mindset is imperative for the position.
